Venostasis occurs when blood flow to the veins, usually in the legs, is slow. This can be caused by valves in the veins that don't open and close properly. Sometimes, blood flows backward through these valves. This slows blood flow and can lead to restless legs syndrome, bulging veins, varicose veins, and swelling in the legs and ankles. This system helps ensure proper blood flow and heals blood backflow due to malfunctioning valves. This system is energized to help stabilize blood flow and maintain venostasis.
If you have problems with valves that are not functioning properly in the veins in your legs, the doctor will, among other things, cause these veins to collapse.
They do this by giving you a local anesthetic and then injecting a medication into the vein to collapse it about every 1 or 2 centimeters from your thigh, down your leg, to your ankle. This causes the vein to collapse, and your body reabsorbs it. There's one vein on the front of each leg and one on the back of each leg that can collapse this way. I experienced this in a vein on the front of my left leg, and I refused to let the doctor do it to the rest of my veins because I don't think it needs to be done. I've used Reiki healing and haven't had any of the serious problems that can occur with this backflow of blood in the veins of my legs. I believe you should always work with your doctor, and Reiki can help with healing and recovery.
