Origin of the system
While I was in a deep meditative state during a treatment session, a beautiful beach appeared before my mind's eye. Behind me, a dense, green jungle, and in front of me, a sky-blue sea. So incredibly beautiful.
I walked along the beach and was overcome with a great feeling of happiness, feeling safe in my heart and enveloped in unconditional love. Then I walked into the jungle. Beautiful exotic flowers opened up along my path.
Then I saw a shaman leaning against a coconut tree. From his appearance, I recognized that he was a Hawaiian shaman, and that I was therefore in Hawaii. The shaman called me over, and without hesitation, I sat down next to him.
He took my hands and opened them upwards. I watched intently as he ground herbs and roots in his mortar.
He then placed the herbal paste on my palms and laid his hands over it, reciting rituals and drawing a symbol on my third eye chakra. I was informed that I had received the gift of initiation into the wonderful practice of Ho'oponopono.
An indescribable feeling of happiness washed over me. A feeling of unconditional love rose within me, and I began to cry with joy. My body felt as if I were floating, and I saw the entire island from a bird's-eye view.
After a while, when I regained awareness of my body and found myself still sitting next to the shaman, I asked him his name, which he then told me. He placed an ethereal necklace around my neck as an initiation gift. His last words to me were:
Forgive those who have wronged you, so that your soul can live freely.
This energy system came to me through the spiritual world to make it easier for other people to forgive, find inner peace, and heal themselves.
To forgive means to let go, and letting go means to accept how and what something or someone is.
When we forgive, we achieve inner peace with ourselves and, consequently, with the world.
When we forgive someone and let go, we feel free and carefree. Forgiveness doesn't necessarily mean we approve of the other person's behavior. By letting go, by forgiving, a heavy burden is lifted from our shoulders.
When you perform the act of forgiveness, you will feel liberated and in balance with your own being.
Obviously, self-love is the crucial way to improve yourself, and while you do that, you improve the world.
Whenever you want to improve something in your life, there is only one place where that can happen: WITHIN YOURSELF.
Now let's move on to Ho'oponopono:
What is Ho`oponopono?
Ho`oponopono consists of five sentences:
●I'm sorry (I accept the problem).
●Please forgive me (if I have hurt you or others, consciously or unconsciously).
●I love you (I love myself and you unconditionally. I see the divine in you).
●I love myself
●Thank you (for allowing me to recognize and heal the problem).
Forgiveness is the virtue of the courageous. Only he who is strong enough to forgive an attack can truly love. (Mahatma Gandhi)
The Hawaiian term Ho'oponopono means:
●To set something right,
●to put something right,
●Make amends.
Ho`o means:
To do something, to trigger something
pono means: straight, upright, balanced
ponopono means: perfection
Thus, Ho'oponopono can also be translated as the path to perfection.
