Hypothalamic-Pituitary Reiki was channeled to optimally supply these often underestimated, small areas in our brain with life energy, thus supporting their functionality and all related areas (organs). The hypothalamus (diencephalon) and the pituitary gland control the production of thyroid hormones. If the hypothalamus detects a deficiency of thyroid hormones in the blood, it produces a hormone (TRH) and sends it to the pituitary gland. Once there, the TRH hormone stimulates the production of the hormone TSH. Released TSH enters the thyroid gland and stimulates the production of thyroid hormones. Once sufficient hormones have been produced and released into the bloodstream, the hypothalamus registers this and ceases its hormone production. Through the thyroid gland, the hypothalamus, in conjunction with the pituitary gland, ensures an optimal supply of physical energy.

For example, our perception of heat and cold is controlled by the hypothalamus. Feeling cold even when it's not actually too cold, and having cold hands and feet, can indicate hypothalamic dysfunction. The hypothalamus also regulates our water balance, blood pressure, and blood sugar. Therefore, it's not just a weakened pancreas that leads to diabetes, but also a consequence of hypothalamic dysfunction. Additionally, the hypothalamus is part of the hormonal system and regulates our hormones. Emotional and mental problems can weaken the hypothalamus to such an extent that depression can even develop.
