Who was Mary Magdalene?
Maria is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Miriam (or Mirjam), which translates as bitterness or sorrow.
It probably got its nickname from its hometown Magdala—today Migdal in Israel, about ten kilometers from Capernaum, where Jesus worked and lived.
Mary Magdalene's energies bestow upon us love and security. She is a comforter of the soul, capable of healing old wounds.
She joined Jesus as a disciple after he freed her from possession.
Mary Magdalene was one of the women who followed Christ and helped provide for him and his disciples.
She went with him to Jerusalem, but unlike the other disciples, she did not flee; instead, she remained with Jesus during his crucifixion and death. She wept at his tomb and helped with the burial. She was also the one who discovered the empty tomb on Easter Monday.
After Mary Magdalene had reported here about the disciples, the resurrected Jesus met her first and entrusted her with the resurrection message to the disciples: I have seen the Lord.
Their energies are not only capable of healing a disturbed sexuality that has been degraded to something bad over many years and through hypocritical morality.
